Day 01: in Tambolaka
Upon arrival at Lede Kalumbang Airport in Tambolaka, and after collecting your luggage, you’ll be warmly greeted by your English-speaking guide. You will then be transferred by an air-conditioned vehicle to your hotel for check-in and overnight stay.

Day 02: Ratenggaro Village-Weekuri Lake
Today, explore the cultural heart of South-West Sumba in the Kodi region. Begin your day with a visit to Ratenggaro Village, one of the island’s most iconic traditional villages. Famous for its towering Uma Mbatangu (traditional peaked-roof houses reaching up to 15 meters), Ratenggaro offers a deep insight into Sumbanese ancestral traditions. The village is also home to impressive megalithic tombs, beautifully carved with symbolic motifs. Located on a scenic coastal bluff, Ratenggaro boasts panoramic views of the ocean and nearby river.
Next, head to the spectacular Weekuri Lake, a crystal-clear saltwater lagoon perfect for a swim. Whether you choose a relaxing float or an invigorating swim, the tranquil waters and natural surroundings make for a refreshing afternoon.

Day 04: Weekacura Rice Fields – Praijing Village – Lapopu Waterfall
Start your day with a scenic trek through the Weekacura Rice Fields, a lush landscape of terraced paddies, natural springs, and a serene rural atmosphere. Along the way, stop at Waikelo Sawah, a peaceful natural dam nestled amid the greenery. You’ll pass a spring emerging from a cave, adding a mystical touch to the setting—ideal for a short rest or even a quick dip.
After lunch, continue to Praijing Village, perched on a hilltop offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. This traditional village is well-preserved and known for its signature Sumbanese houses and ancestral culture. Take time to interact with locals and delve into their traditions.
The day ends with a visit to Lapopu Waterfall, one of Sumba’s most beautiful natural wonders. A short jungle trek and a bamboo bridge lead to the multi-tiered cascade. The pool at the base invites you to cool off and relax in a lush, jungle-framed setting.
