Drive to Hue. Explore Imperial Citadel and enjoy a Perfume River cruise with dinner.

Day 11: Hue

Visit Emperor Khai Dinh's Tomb and “Truc Chi” bamboo paper workshop. Evening Vespa foodie tour with home-hosted meal.

Day 12: Hue – Ho Chi Minh City (Flight)

Fly to Ho Chi Minh City. Walking city tour (Notre-Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office..etc). Evening A O Show at the Opera House.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City

Morning trip to Cu Chi Tunnels. Sunset river cruise and farewell dinner.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure

Free at leisure until airport transfer. Optional beach extension to Con Dao.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Hanoi


At leisure to get over jetlag. Meeting with your local guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel (check-in from 2 pm onwards). Overnight in Hanoi

Day 2: Hanoi

After late breakfast, enjoy a leisure stroll through the bustling and hustling Hanoi Old Quarters. Observe the daily life activities from generation family-run shops and eateries. 

Later this afternoon, proceed to Temple of Literature, originally built as a university in 1070 dedicated to Confucius, scholars, and sages.  The building is extremely well preserved and is a superb example of traditional-style Vietnamese architecture.

 

Drive away from the city center to enjoy breathtaking views of the sun setting into the West Lake at a hotel bar. It is constructed on a man-made island on the waters of the lake and is accessible by a torch-lit bridge; providing that romantic aura that you seek. (Drink is on own account).

And once you have explored the city, enjoy an included 60-min relaxing and refreshing massage session. Taking a couple spa can be both relaxing & romantic. Day 3: Hanoi

This morning, hop on a vintage jeep for an adventure! Your jeep driver to pick you up at 08:00am for a scenic drive to the rural areas of Hanoi. After 1.5 hours, you will arrive to Duong Lam ancient village with houses built of unprocessed laterite blocks. Stroll around idyllic alleys to visit Mong Phu Communal House and an ancient house to admire its architecture dating back up to 400 years. Leaving the village, drive for another 5 kms to Moon Garden where you will have lunch with Hanoi specialties. Drive back to Hanoi for an afternoon at leisure.

Tonight, enjoy a home-hosted dinner with a young couple living in a small yet cozy house. The wife is a celebrity chef who will share with you all about the secrets behind North Vietnam's cuisine. Through her stories, get an insight into couple's life in Vietnam especially when they have young kid. Look through their wedding photo album to have an overview into the custom and the tradition.

If you love jazz, after dinner, visit Binh Minh Jazz Club. Owned by the veteran Vietnamese jazz artiste Quyen Van Minh, the jazz club is known for its minimal decor, cozy seating, efficient service, extensive beverages menu, and live performances by jazz artists. Day 4: Hanoi-Halong Bay

Transfer to the airport for a 45-min seaplane flight to the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Halong Bay. The highlight of the trip is the bird-eye view of Ha Long Bay over impressive limestone karts.  Upon arrival at Tuan Chau pier (Lounge#12), aboard the shuttle to your private yacht: a stylish NC14 with sofa, a double sundeck, and a spacious saloon. By day, the interior saloon is a spacious open living area with impressive views, while by night, the owner’s cabin converts into a magnificent suite with bar and sofa. 

Be welcomed with a house wine, tropical fruits, and snacks. Start cruising the yacht to the most beautiful middle core of Ha Long Bay, enjoy the very first impressions on the spectacular scenes established by stunning hundred-year-forms karst limestone maze. Savoy your lunch at the rustic yet peaceful floating fishing raft for seafood lunch.

Continue your trip to Three Peaches Beach where you can choose one of the activities including swimming, fishing, inflatable sup board (or Jet skiing on your own account). The Yacht slowly moves to the place for anchoring.

Day 5: Halong-Hanoi(drive)-Danang (flight)

After breakfast, disembark at Viet Hai village for a leisured walking or biking trip of 3-km through the pristine Cat Ba National Park. Return to your yacht and continue toward Tuan Chau Marina.  Spend an hour for closer approaching to the marvelous Karst limestone series, also losing in the hidden green lagoons for intensive discovery. Disembark your yacht at Tuan Chau pier. Transfer to Hanoi airport for onward flight to Danang. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to Hoi An

Day 6: Hoi An

Morning is free at leisure to enjoy your hotel. Afternoon, get on a guided walking tour around the old town. It rose to prominence in the 16th century, and for the next two hundred years proved one of Vietnam's most important trading ports. It has seen occupation by the Chinese, Japanese and Europeans, and their influence is visible throughout the old town, especially in the temples and houses built by merchants who came to trade but instead set down roots. Explore 400 years old Japanese Bridge, Assembly Hall, and former merchants' houses.

Tonight, escape the city and indulge in a unique candle-lit dining experience on bamboo raft while enjoying romantic atmosphere Co Co riverbank.

Day 7: Hoi An

 

Spend this morning to learn how to make detox cocktails and juice for your loved ones. Visit an immerse organic farm take care by two young people who are passionate about and healthy life. The farm organically grows more than fifty types of local vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers. Follow the owner to explore the amazing colors and aroma. Then harvest a few types of local herbs and fruits to make detox juice and cocktails from hibiscus, butterfly pea, cinnamon basil, mulberry, etc.. While learning the secret receipts, chance to listen to the farm owners' life stories. This couple, who are certified nutritionist and agriculture engineer, decided to leave their career and live with their passion to support the local farmer community. Day 8: Hoi An-Lang Co (drive)

After a relaxing breakfast, enjoy a 1,5-hour scenic drive to Lang Co. This stunning and unique stretch of road will make you feel like you're soaring out to the ocean's edge. Located between Hue and Danang, Lang Co is to be found along the Vietnam Heritage Road. Lang Co is a heaven on earth, where you will discover turquoise-coloured lagoons gleaming like gems or beaches with sand so soft it melts between the toes. 

Spending 2 nights in Lang Co as a refreshing break of the trip. Happy couples are comfortable just doing nothing together. Or opt to arrange some fun couple activities with your resort (on your own pace and on your own account)

Day 10: Lang Co-Hue

After breakfast, another 2 hour drive bring you to Hue before noon. In the afternoon, drive to Imperial Citadel. Explore the moated citadel on the northern banks of the river. Built by Emperor Gia Long in the early 1800s, and containing within its walls his private residence, the exquisite Forbidden Purple City, the fortress has suffered from both natural and manmade destruction over the years, including cyclones and battle damage during the Vietnam War. Yet the enclosure remains extremely palatial and received UNESCO World Heritage status in 1993. Opportunities to discover the city's old citadel by 45-min cyclo ride.

 

Once visiting Hue city, it will be a miss if not making a cruise trip upstream or downstream the Perfume River crossing the old capital city. Tonight, enjoy a romantic dinner on the join-in HRS boat. Contemplate the city at nighttime and its reflection on sparkling water while enjoying Hue culinary and immersing your soul in local folk songs.

Day 11: Hue

In the morning, visit the Royal tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh who ruled the country for 9 years however, it was built within 11 years, much longer than his reign. Khai Dinh made a tour to France in 1922, as a result, Western architecture was intermingled with the nation's traditional art. This Royal tomb has been classified as a work of “neo - classicism” in Vietnam's history of fine arts. Then stop at a local workshop owned by the innovator of a new art form in Hue.  The art of making “Truc Chi” is about making paper from bamboo according to traditional methods. In Sino-Vietnamese, truc means bamboo and chi means paper. Sit down for a hands-on practice of making a souvenir gift to your loved one under the guidance of the artist. Learn the passion drives the artists to create such a new kind of unique art combining traditions and practicality in life. Afternoon is free at leisure to enjoy your hotel.

Continue this early evening with a fun vintage vespa foodie tour and home-hosted meal. Immerse yourself in a world of Hue specialties including Hue beef noodle soup cooked from the pass down generation recipes at a local family. Drive through hidden local family-run eatery and learn how to make traditional steamed green-leaf cake and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Then drive to a venue which is locally well-known for serving only one dish- Hue sizzling pancake. End the day at a hundred-year-old traditional herbal medicine shop to see how they make herbal tea for Kings in the past and get a sip.  A leisurely ride on the back of the Vespa takes you back to your hotel.

Day 12: Hue- Ho Chi Minh (flight)

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for onward afternoon flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, meet and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy an oriented walking tour around the center with your tour guide to visit the city historic landmarks. start with a visit to the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica, built between 1863 and 1880. Modeled on Notre-Dame de Paris and built with materials shipped over from France, the cathedral is the religious center for Vietnam's 6.2 million Catholics. Then walk over to Ho Chi Minh city Central Post Office built between 1886 and 1891. Based on the design of French architect Foulhoux, it is the creation of a unique vaulted ceiling with wrought iron beams and columns reminiscent of industrial architecture, which is now considered a symbol of Ho Chi Minh and one of its most famous landmarks. 

Then stroll through the Book Street, sit down for at a coffee shop, watching how local young people spending time. Optional, walk along Dong Khoi Street, formerly la rue Catinat and pay a visit to Gia Long Palace – Ho Chi Minh City Museum for its beautiful architecture and listen to its history through times. Then back to your hotel for a rest.

 

Evening, enjoy the spectacular A O show at the historic Opera House. The show tells the story of Vietnamese culture with a unique mix of bamboo cirque, acrobatic acts, contemporary dance, and theatrical visual art.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)

In the morning, be transferred, transfer 1,5 hours by road to Cu Chi historical site. Work on the tunnels began during the war against the French in the 1940s and over the next 25 years as the conflict with America escalated, they were improved and expanded to create an underground city of meeting areas, storerooms, living quarters and much more. The tunnels allowed the Viet Cong to control a vital area of South Vietnam and at their height, extended for more than 200km in length and stretched from what was then Ho Chi Minh to the Cambodian border. Drive back to Saigon. Remainder of the afternoon is free at leisure. 

In the late afternoon, drive to the city pier for a private speedboat journey to Mia Saigon hotel. Located by the idyllic Saigon River and away from the main city, this hotel offers very peaceful with great views. enjoy the beautiful sunset by the Saigon River with a sip of champagne (1 glass of Baron Philippe De Rothschild Brut per person included). Followed by a sumptuous dinner at the terrace before embarking your private speedboat back to city center.

Day 14: Ho Chi Minh- Departure

Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for flight home or make an extension to Con Dao on your own – the most pristine beach in Vietnam. They're known for their long-stretch sandy beaches, coral reefs, marine life as well as history from French, American and Vietnam revolutionary period.
